Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 ½ cups milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)
Instructions
- Prepare the Batter
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, then add milk, vanilla extract, and melted butter.

- Fry the Swirls
- Pour the batter into a piping bag, squeeze bottle, or use a funnel with your finger covering the tip.
- Drizzle the batter in a circular, swirling motion into the hot oil.
- Fry for 1–2 minutes per side, until golden brown.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel.
- Dust & Serve
- Generously sprinkle powdered sugar on top.
- Serve warm with chocolate sauce, fruit, or cinnamon sugar if desired!
