Garlic Parmesan Burger Poppers

Author:

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for juiciness)
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 4 strips crispy bacon, crumbled
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tube refrigerated biscuit dough (or homemade dough)
  • ¼ cup butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (for topping)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Set to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Make the Filling: In a bowl, mix ground beef, shredded cheese, crumbled bacon, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Form small meatballs (about 1 inch in size).
  3. Sear Meatballs: Lightly sear the meatballs in a skillet over medium heat until browned (they’ll finish cooking in the oven). Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. Wrap in Dough: Flatten biscuit dough rounds and place a meatball in the center of each. Wrap the dough around the meatball, pinching the edges to seal.
  5. Bake: Place on a baking sheet, seam side down. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Garlic Parmesan Butter: Mix melted butter, Parmesan, parsley, and garlic powder. Brush over the warm poppers.
  7. Serve: Let cool slightly and enjoy with dipping sauces like ranch or marinara!
